Immersion into the Social and Environmental projects of Bahia

‘We believe in remarkable trips that influence not just the visitor, but also the places and people that host them.’

“Tourism entails so much more than simply visiting a place unlike our home; it elevates us to experience different cultures, customs and communities. Not only has it become a hugely important economic source for Brazil, it has also allowed its people to benefit from this mutual exchange. A journey to Brazil means that we can get to know, and live out, the different initiatives that seek to build bridges: between the economic profit that tourism brings, and the sociocultural and environmental transformation of the host areas. This is why we want to promote a sort of tourism that goes beyond social and environmental responsibility; to awaken minds to new ways of being, doing and living, with the utmost respect for people and nature.”

What are we going to do in this 13-day experience?:

  • Visit, meet and participate in local communities, talking and learning about their lives and social and environmental projects that are being developed in all destinations, Salvador, Chapada Diamantina National Park and Serra Grande.
  • Connect with the beautiful nature in the mountainous landscapes of the Chapada and the paradisiacal beaches of Serra Grande.
  • Walk a lot between mountains, waterfalls and forests of amazing biodiversity.
  • Integrate with the communities and the native populations, visiting their houses, learning about their customs and enjoying delicious local foods.
  • Learn and enjoy.

We want to share some of the testimonies of travelers who made this trip with Eva last year:

It has been a very educational and enriching experience on many levels (human, creative...) thanks to the discovery of new projects, contact with new people from different cultures and being immersed in a reality so different from what we are normally used to. It has been a luck to be in such a beautiful place and accompanied by Eva and her smile that has opened doors to experiences that we could never have had without knowing the place.

The trip to sustainable Brazil has been a transformative experience for the whole family for the authentic and passionate people we have met, the amazing nature we have discovered, what we have learned from the reality of the country. Having Eva as a companion has been a privilege: she puts all her experience, her generosity and her sensitivity into making these meetings exceptional moments and lasting memories.

Annete

An unforgettable trip that has allowed us to get to know the Brazilian people and the exuberant nature of Brazil. We have been very impressed by the work carried out by the different associations we have visited in defense of the children of the favelas of Salvador or of the farmers who grow cocoa in the Atlantic Forest. It is a very intense and very complete trip to experience as a family. Eva has made a selection of destinations full of emotion and humanity. Her company has made the trip easier and more authentic. The logistics organization in all its aspects has been impeccable.

It has been a trip full of new experiences, very entertaining. I really liked knowing a new culture very different from mine. The trekking in the Chapada Diamantina was very cool because we spent the night in the houses of the people who live isolated in the mountains and we have seen magnificent landscapes. Also very interesting was our stay in the pousada de Catalina in Serra Grande and the delicious vegetarian meals made with products of her property.
