Secret Lagoons & Rolling Sand Dunes

Steeped in bewilderingly beautiful natural wonders, this ocean-clutching national park is an undulating confection of far-reaching sand dunes, swathes of beach, mangroves and hidden lagoons, making for an unbeatable adventure playground that begs to be explored! We’ll bumble along the sands in an exhilarating 4×4 vehicle, tackling the hills and feeling the thrill of careering back down them, all the while marveling at the serpentine rivers and endless pools around us – it’s almost as if we’re driving on the water itself!

Then, our dose of history will be taken care of with a fascinating visit to the colorful island town of Sao Luis de Maranhao. We hit the sea on a boat ride along Río Preguiças, stopping at the lighthouse before winding up at Caburé, a blissfully remote stretch of sand lying between the ocean and the river, and the ideal spot to chill out after all of the unforgettable action.
