Bike adventures: it is totally possible to discover pedaling the amazing landscapes of Brazil

You may not know it, but in Brazil there are countless trails for cycling. Those who enjoy pedaling agree that it is one of the most fun and exciting ways to get to know a place; in addition to the challenge of reaching it, there is the delight of the surprises that you find along the way.

This was the trip that our CEO Adriá Lacorte organized for the Aniyami team in Bahia. You can’t miss the pictures!

On any given week day, the group was guided by the expert cycling guide Juliano Borghi on a 30km route along paths between the mountains and the beach. Juliano prepared them with the complete safety equipment, bicycles, helmets and others to start on the top of a hill called Tibina, surrounded by vegetation and from where you get a nice panoramic view of the Cocoa Coast. They rode about 15 kilometers until they reached the farm of Giani, a lovely woman who received them for breakfast with her homemade organic products. Chocolate, cheese and other delicacies nourished the group after the first stretch. Food and rest in the lagoon to continue along the beach; infinite white sand and blue sea to be traveled by bicycle or, if fatigue asks for it, in the support car that accompanied them. Under the bright sun, with the sound of the waves and the freshness of the wind, the Aniyami team crossed rivers, greeted the bathers and pedaled happily until the end of the tour, a place called Pe de Serra, at the foot of the mountains, where the mountain interrupts the long beach and where they stopped to celebrate the experience with a delicious paella prepared by Adriá himself!

By bicycle your sports travelers can also explore the incredible landscapes of Bahia, while visiting villages and fazendas that will show them the secrets and magic of the cocoa coast. One of the regions that welcomes them is the Itacaré – Serra Grande Environmental Preservation Area, UNESCO Biosphere Reserve for its natural beauty and the diversity of fauna and flora. They can discover all this pedaling, but also walking, swimming in the rivers, taking sea baths, interacting with local communities and participating in adventure activities. And the most important thing is that they will be guided by experts in the region and bicycle fans like Juliano, who knows the best routes and paths to perform this type of adventure, with excellent equipment and safety support.

They can also combine these routes in Bahia with other destinations such as the “Magic Island”, Santa Catarina, where they can go cycling and walking, to discover some of the most preserved beaches, ecological reserves, lagoons and fishing communities that despite tourism maintains their local customs. It is a stimulating adventure full of physical exercise and beautiful surprises of nature waiting at each “finish line”.

It is also possible to discover more of southern Brazil by traveling on two wheels the state of Paraná, with an aromatic coffee tour in the city of Curitiba and pedaling along dirt roads in the beautiful landscapes of the Serra Verde, crossing its streams, forests and mountains with incredible views. Everything to finish off in the Ilha do Mel and enjoy a well-deserved rest.

And did you know that there are roads to discover the phenomenon of the Iguazu Falls crossing the forests by bike? By pedaling and breathing the pure air one can approach the walkways that lead you to find the imposing roar of water falling from 80 meters high.

It is totally possible to live a cycling adventure in Brazil; you just need to choose the destinations, design the perfect combination and accumulate kilometers of pedaling in countless landscapes with sports anecdotes for a lifetime.
