While studying Tourism & Planning at University of Westminster in London, I raised my belief in a different tourism, more based on sustainability criteria and on the concept of experience. Later on, I made my final degree project at Bournemouth University in Brazil and Argentina, and there a dream was born: I wanted to live in Brazil. I was attracted to its people, its rhythm, its solidarity, hospitality and joy. From then on, I worked in financial and strategic consulting as well as in an investment fund, always specialized in tourism, both in the UK and in Spain.
Then, the opportunity to create Aniyami DMC in Brazil came, 10 years ago. Along with a great team of professionals, we have been able to grow and evolve as international inbound operator. We have not changed a bit of our initial philosophy, which is based on developing the travel experience in Brazil with creativity, quality, customer service and responsibility. During this process, we have created human and professional relationships with customers, employees, partners, suppliers and local community. With them, we share our principles and work together to achieve our dreams.
Specialized in trips to Brazil, I am interested in outdoor activities and I am in love with the country in every way. I am unable to choose a single destination, but some images won´t come out from my mind. Amongst them I include the Guanabara Bay sight from Rio de Janeiro's Corcovado Christ, the Largo do Pelourinho in Salvador de Bahía, the Pantanal wildlife, the Amazon jungle experiences and the dunes and lagoons of the Lençóis Maranhenses National Park.
Before Aniyami, I worked as a travel agent, and I`ve always loved simple trips but with details that make them special and unique. In the morning, I like fruit juices for breakfast: it's the best way to start a great day! Next, I enjoy meeting with locals to share stories about each other's lives, or simply stand in a small hidden bar and enjoy watching them making coffee. At night, I like going through the pictures I have taken, either staying in a comfortable downtown pousada or camping under the stars.
I grew up in a farmhouse near Bogotá, Colombia and every holiday I traveled with my family to different parts of the country. Later on as a grownup I continued doing the same thing whenever I had free time; I liked to spend long periods in each new place to feel the magic and turn the trip into a real and powerful experience. I love nature and being close to it positively impacts all aspects of my life.
I studied marketing and advertising, then I went to travel to the United States, and returned to continue studying a Masters in Creative Writing. In an effort to live a quiet and natural life, I came to Brazil, where I found the best scenery along with the opportunity to apply my knowledge in the workplace. A great combination, which also allows me to share the passion for traveling with thousands of people from around the world.
I was born in Barcelona and five years later I started to travel around the world. Since then I couldn't stop. I'm convinced I was born to work in tourism. I suppose that the fact of being in contact with other cultures awoke my curiosity to learn languages. This means not only acquiring the ability to communicate with other people, but also opening the doors to a new culture, to a new world and a new vision of it. I had my first contact with Brazil thanks to Aniyami DMC while graduating in Tourism. The language, the people, the weather, the scenery, the optimism and joy that can be felt throughout the country captivated me from the very beginning. It's a country worth living, feeling and enjoying.
I've spent time living in England and Germany, and during those years I graduated in Translation and Interpreting. In my studies I continued travelling around the world, and also specializing in Brazil. Now my intention is to continue growing and learning along with Aniyami DMC. I believe that traveling is one of the most satisfying pleasures nowadays, so my idea is to make people happy by helping them organize their trips to Brazil and adapting their preferences to make their vacation full of unforgettable experiences.
